Firth Rixson Announces Acquisition of TRT

Located near Wolverhampton, UK, Turbine Rings Technologies Limited (TRT) adds an important flash-butt welded, cold-rolled and sheet-metal ring capability to Firth Rixson’s Rings business portfolio.
TRT is a certified aerospace supplier of the full gamut of flash-butt welded rings. TRT uses a proprietary vertical stand technology to supply intricate sheet metal rings to a wide variety of customers.
Commenting on the acquisition, Armand F. Lauzon, Jr., CEO of Firth Rixson, said, “This initiative enhances our product offering to existing customers. It also provides an immediate entry for the Group into a global market that complements our seamless rolled ring operations.”
